The subject of the invention is a torque transmission system which transmits rotation or torque between two ore more shafts without any physical connection by means of magnetic field.
The essence of the construction called Magnemot is that a small diameter driving disc drives (rotates) a working disc which has a much greater diameter. Working through interaction is performed at the peripheries of the discs as in case of well-known gears.
The uniqueness of the invention is ensured by the fact that, though there is a huge difference between the peripheries of the discs, their speeds are identical or, depending on their construction, the speed of the large discs can be several times higher than that of the driving disc. The opposite will take place when gears are connected. Besides, the goal that the magnetic field of the driving disc drives the driven disc only in the direction of rotation could not have been achieved up to now because the magnets exert their effects in both directions to establish an equilibrium; the Magnemot disturbs the equilibrium and directs the rotating force in the same direction.
As a result, we can rotate a larger lever arm with a smaller moment arm at the same or higher speed during the same time interval.
Thanks to the construction of the Magnemot, an assembly has become feasible which is unknown with conventional gears or could not been implemented in practice so far, i.e. an arrangement where the speed of a disc having a much larger diameter is equal to or several time higher than that of the disc that rotates the large disc, so that working and interconnection take place on the peripheries of both discs.
An important feature of the invention is that the magnetic connection between the discs is continuous without any dead pints and slips. Even under heavy load it can be proven that the match marks located on the discs align with each other. Several driving discs (with small moment arm) can be mounted on the working disc (with great lever arm), and in this case the loadability can be increased.
This system can be efficiently used for any technical constructions where two or more shafts should be connected to each other at identical or different speed to achieve a lubrication free, soft and clean connection. Its range of application is unlimited, from the food industry to the chemical industry. Compressors and pumps can be driven by this system in a maintenance-free manner, but it can be most spectacularly applied to rotate generators which produce electricity, making use of size differences between lever arm and moment arm. In addition to the above, we can take advantage of its feature that the driving disc is able to rotate two or more working disc in opposite directions, despite the fact that the driving disc rotates only in one direction. With this system we can rotate generators which have no stator and their both parts rotate therefore we can achieve, at the same torque, a rotational velocity that is two times higher than the speed of the driving disc. The system itself is an overload protection device at the same time, i.e. in case of a sudden overload or blocking the magnetic connection is disconnected without causing any physical damage to the system.
